"… if World Bank and other development actors have to win the war on eradicating world poverty, then they should help communities acquire COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BANKS. Why? Because these CD BANKS effectively channel aid to the poor and minorities in communities.Think globally and act locally means that all efforts to eradicate poverty and pave way for prosperity should be directed to the communities where the ultra-poor stay. It is these kind of banks that will fund all community development projects in all sectors of development, eradicate poverty completely and help the world achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Think about this and help ecologically fragile and economically depressed zones have a more secure future."
